Join the Paulist Associates of Florida!
Good News Ministries and the Missionary Society of St. Paul the Apostle are such a perfect match that GNM founders Ralph and Terry Modica have become Paulist Associates and formed a community of Paulist Associates in Florida.
 Paulist Associates are people who are already involved in ministries and, feeling a kinship to the Paulist Fathers (similiar to a "third order"), choose to join the Paulist Family.
In the spirit of the Paulist Fathers, Paulist Associates assist in the mission of Christ using the gifts God has given us, in the places where we already live and work, in our everyday lives. And we gather monthly as a community to support and encourage one another and to discuss the writings of the founder, Father Isaac Hecker.

What do Paulist Associates do?
In the spirit of St. Paul and the Paulist Fathers, we assist in the mission of Christ using the gifts God has given us, in the places where we already live and work, in our everyday lives. And we gather periodically as a community to support and encourage one another and to discuss the writings of Isaac Hecker and any other materials we decide to read.
Where in Florida do Paulist Associates meet?
We meet in the Brandon-Riverview-Valrico area (east of Tampa). A second group meets in Land O' Lakes. Our spiritual pastor is Father Frank DeSiano (although he does not live in Florida) with additional support from retired Paulists who live in Vero Beach, Florida.
The goals of a Paulist Associate are:
• the renewal of the light of faith in our world
• by first increasing within ourselves reliance upon the inspirations of the Holy Spirit,.
• striving for spiritual excellence,
• understanding more deeply the truths of our faith,
• and then by our enthusiasm attracting others to the same.
How does one become a Paulist Associate?
Through the Paulist Associates Formation Program, interested laity attend six formation sessions and then make a commitment to embody the ideals of the Paulists in their daily lives.
