A Prayer from Good News Ministries Online |
|
A novena is a prayer we commit to for nine days. This one is based on John 15:9-17.
Jesus said... Begin the prayer: In the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, I offer my time and my heart to Jesus, the source of my joy. 1. My dear Lord Jesus, you have said, "As the Father loves me, so I also love you. Remain in my love." Therefore, in your name, I ask the Father for the gift of _______. Our Father... Hail Mary... Glory be to the Father... Sweet Jesus, source of my joy, you are so good to me. I thank you, I adore you, I worship you. 2. My dear Lord Jesus, you have said, "If you keep my commandments, you will remain in my love, just as I have kept my Father's commandments and remain in his love. I am telling you this so that you may have my joy in you and that your joy may be complete." Therefore, in your name, I ask the Father for the gift of _______. Our Father... Hail Mary... Glory be to the Father... Sweet Jesus, source of my joy, you are so good to me. I thank you, I adore you, I worship you. 3. My dear Lord Jesus, you have said, "It was not you who chose me, but I who chose you and commissioned you to go forth and bear good fruit that will last, so that whatever you ask the Father in my name he will give to you" Therefore, in your name, I ask the Father for the gift of _______. Our Father... Hail Mary... Glory be to the Father... Sweet Jesus, source of my joy, you are so good to me. I thank you, I adore you, I worship you. Closing Prayer: My dear Lord Jesus, you have given your holy mother to me, so that her prayers can be added to mine. Therefore, in your name, I ask for her powerful and kindly intercession: Hail Holy Queen.... Thank you, Jesus,
for being the source of my joy. You are so good to me!
