The First Joyful Mystery
THE ANNUNCIATION

God sent the angel Gabriel to a virgin, named Mary. The angel said, "Hail, full of grace! The Lord is with you." Mary was greatly troubled at his words and wondered what kind of greeting this might be. But the angel said to her, "Do not be afraid, Mary, you have found favor with God. You are to conceive and bear a son, and you are to give him the name Jesus. He will be great and will be called Son of the Most High, and his reign will have no end." Mary said to the angel, "But how can this be, since I am a virgin?" The angel answered, "The Holy Spirit will come upon you, and the power of the Most High will overshadow you. So the holy one to be born will be called the Son of God. (Luke 1:26-35)

Prayer for Peace by Pope John Paul II:

O God, Creator of the universe, who extends Your paternal concern over every creature and guides the events of history in the goal of salvation, we acknowledge Your fatherly love when You break the resistance of mankind and, in a world torn by strife and discord, You make us ready for reconciliation. Renew for us the wonders of Your mercy: send forth Your Spirit that He may work in the intimacy of hearts, that enemies may begin to dialogue, that adversaries may shake hands and peoples may encounter one another in harmony. May all commit themselves to the sincere search for true peace which will extinguish all arguments, for charity which overcomes hatred, for pardon which disarms revenge. Amen.

Our Father, Who art in Heaven...

Hail Mary, full of grace...
Hail Mary, full of grace...
Hail Mary, full of grace...
Hail Mary, full of grace...
Hail Mary, full of grace...
Hail Mary, full of grace...
Hail Mary, full of grace...
Hail Mary, full of grace...
Hail Mary, full of grace...
Hail Mary, full of grace...

Glory Be ...Glory be to the Father ....

Oh my Jesus, forgive us our sins,
save us from the fires of hell;
lead all souls to Heaven,
especially those most in need of Your Mercy.
