Here’s how to pray the Glorious Mysteries for your personal needs

The First Glorious Mystery

THE RESURRECTION OF JESUS

The Resurrection of JesusMeditation:
As it says in 1 Cor. 15:20-27, “Christ has been raised from the dead…. For just as in Adam all die, so too in Christ shall all be given life.”

Pray the “Our Father” consciously, listening to and meaning each word. Give special emphasis to “Forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us.” We admit that because of our sinfulness, we inherit death from Adam and we need God’s forgiveness. But we enter into Christ’s resurrection and receive eternal life as we forgive others, for it is in giving that we receive. Did Mary forgive those who tortured and killed her Son? She held no grudges as she wept at the foot of the cross and then as she held the lifeless body of Jesus in her arms. Her soul proclaimed the resurrection glory of God as she made the decision to forgive.

Our Father, Who art in Heaven,
Hallowed be Thy Name.
Thy Kingdom come, Thy will be done
on earth as it is in Heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread,
and forgive us our trespasses
as we forgive those who trespass against us.
And lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from evil. Amen.

pray the Rosary bead

Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with you.
Blessed are you among women,
and blessed is the fruit of your womb, Jesus.
Holy Mary, Mother of God,
pray for us sinners
now and at the hour of our death. Amen.

Glory Be ...

Glory be to the Father and to the Son and to the Holy Spirit,
As it was in the beginning, is now and ever shall be,
world without end. Amen!

Together we pray:

Rosary: Oh My Jesus

Oh my Jesus, forgive us our sins,
save us from the fires of hell;
lead all souls to Heaven,
especially those most in need of Your Mercy.
