Meditation:
Jesus came from Galilee to John at the Jordan to be baptized by him…. After Jesus was baptized, he came up out of the water, and the heavens opened up for him, and he saw the Spirit of God descending upon him like a dove. A voice came from the heavens, saying, “This is my beloved Son, with whom I am well pleased.” (Matt. 3:13,17)
The Lord Jesus came to each of us in our baptisms. When you were baptized, the Holy Spirit descended upon you, and the Father said, “This is my beloved child, with whom I am well pleased!” Thus, you became the light of Christ to shine in the world. You have been invested with the mission of this light!
Blessed are you among women,
and blessed is the fruit of your womb, Jesus.
Holy Mary, Mother of God,
pray for us sinners
now and at the hour of our death. Amen.
![]() | Glory be to the Father and to the Son and to the Holy Spirit, As it was in the beginning, is now and ever shall be, world without end. Amen! |
![]() | Together we pray: Oh my Jesus, forgive us our sins, save us from the fires of hell; lead all souls to Heaven, especially those most in need of Your Mercy. |
