Saint Peter weeps for his cowardice after denying that he knew Jesus. The rooster crows at his feet, as Jesus had predicted. When he realizes the horror of what he has done, he desires forgiveness and, after the resurrection of Jesus, is raised up to become the first leader (pope) of the new Church.

What do you need forgiveness for? God will forgive you and embrace you and raise you up!
