It relates details of the life of our Lord and his Blessed Mother, including Mary's early life and her Assumption into heaven. (Feast Day July 23)

Saint Alphonsus Rodriguez (1533-1617) was a Spanish Jesuit laybrother who was especially devoted to the group of prayers known as the "Little Office of Mary". (Feast Day October 31)

Saint John Damascene (676-749) is said to have had his severed hand restored by Mary. He was a priest who often preached and wrote about Mary's Immaculate Conception and about her Assumption. (Feast Day December 4)
