Looking past the high altar, through the glory of Christ, we get a glimpse of the Lady Chapel, lit by its predominantly blue stained glass windows. This chapel is dedicated to the Assumption of our Blessed Mother into heaven. The Church has always held that Mary was so holy that, after her earthly life ended, she immediately received her glorified body and entered heaven without experiencing death.
