St. Jude

Saint Jude Thaddeus

St. Jude was the author of a brief Epistle in the New Testament. His tireless missionary travels are represented by the sailboat he holds. He also holds a knotted club, indicating the method of his martyrdom.

He is the patron saint of desperate situations, forgotten causes, hospital workers and hospitals.

His feast day is October 28.
