The sacristy is the room where the priests prepare for Mass. As we head toward it, there are windows on either side of the double stairway. These windows highlight non-canonized saintly people whose pioneering spirit was influential in the forming of the Church in our country, including the Cathedral's initial benefactor, Thomas O'Neill. After the Cathedral was built, two of them were canonized - find out which ones! Click on each side of the photo to see them. Also be sure to see the statue of Mary up close. And lastly, click on the doors to enter the sacristy.
