Saint John Neumann was a 19th century Redemptorist priest who served in Baltimore at Saint Alphonsus Church before being ordained as the fourth bishop of Philadelphia. He was canonized in 1977, which is why he is pictured here as "Venerable" and not as a canonized Saint (Feast Day January 5). Blessed Kateri Tekakwitha was a 17th century virtuous Indian girl known as "Lily of the Mohawks" (Feast Day July 14). Click on the window to continue.
