Saint Christopher is the patron saint of travelers because he carried a small boy across the water of a river. That boy then revealed himself as Jesus Christ himself. The name "Christopher" means "Christ-bearer". We are all called to be Christophers, because whenever we help others, we are doing it to Jesus.
