Good News Reflections on Saturdays

man looking at his phone while eatingA couple of months ago, we changed the format of this newsletter in order to send it out on Thursdays when more people read it. Since we didn’t want to post on Thursdays the reflections on the readings of Saturday Mass, I stopped writing them. Analysis of email stats indicated that readership was low on Saturdays.

Then the requests started coming in from subscribers on WhatsApp and Telegram. We learned that, while fewer people read the emailed reflections on Saturdays, readership via text message is still very active. So, for their sake (and for those who do read emails on Saturdays), we will now add a reflection for Saturday to the weekly schedule.

To see them on WhatsApp, join chat.whatsapp.com/Dy2qnxgb1gUCgUbBTi8SSG.

Workshops and Webinars

Join the interactive workshop
Evangelization with a Digital Apostolate

Whether you have a full-fledged ministry or you have a creative hobby that you’d like to use for the Kingdom of Christ, are your efforts as successful as they could be on the internet? If not, you’ll want to see this.

Discover your own potential calling, and how you can fulfill it, in the interactive webinar “Evangelization with a Digital Apostolate,” sponsored by Catholicism for the Modern World.

When: 1:00-1:45pm ET on October 28 (convert it to your time zone @ dateful.com/convert/est-edt-eastern-time?t=1pm).

Where: On the discord.com platform.

This is especially planned for young adults. All are welcome, but please forward this info to the young people you know.

Catholicism for the Modern World is supporting, teaching, and inspiring the next generation of Catholic creatives. This is a community for writers, videomakers, podcasters, musicians, artists, and designers. It’s a great way to connect with others who have the same struggles and dreams of spreading the Gospel across the internet.

To participate in the workshop, join the free Catholic Creators community @ https://www.iamcatholic.co/.

Prayer Room

Prayer of the Week:
Download our Rosary for World Peace

ancient rampart in the wall around Jerusalem

In these urgent times of the continuing war in Ukraine and now the war in Israel, we are providing our Rosary for World Peace as a downloadable PDF — and we hope you will distribute it widely.

Download it right now from gnm.org/prayers/pray-the-rosary/for-world-peace.

Our Rosary of Joyful Mysteries for World Peace includes prayers for peace by Pope John Paul II, Pope Paul VI, and Pope John XXIII. The Joyful Mysteries are appropriate because world peace begins with the birth of the Savior. Let us pray that the Prince of Peace is born more fully into our world, especially in places of violence.

Please freely distribute it to your friends, family, and church!

God bless you!

Every morning, I lift up in prayer everyone who helps Good News Ministries in any way (donors, volunteers, prayer supporters, etc.) and all the prayer requests posted on our site. What can I cover in prayer for you? Post your prayer request.

Thank you for reading this newsletter.
