Expecting a miracle for 2024

Into the new year and beyond

Next year is almost here. And things are changing.

One thing that we cannot overlook or ignore is how much more people today need to discover the love and healing and truth about Our Lord. Know anyone like that?

Although the world has become more violent, more rebellious, and more unChristian, we always have Jesus, the solution to every problem, the victory for every evil.

What we don’t have is endless time and boundless energy. I’m soon turning 69. Out of necessity (not desire) I’ve had to enter into semi-retirement. My health has not been as spry and resilient as it used to be. (What? My mind says I’m still in my 50s. My body argues with that.)

Thankfully — by the gracious plan of God — I have a wonderful Assistant Director who still works full-time and carries the bulk of the work load. Graciela is amazing. But she lives in Argentina and so I’ve been seeking God’s plan for a U.S. assistant who can eventually, when I pass from this world (in ten or twenty years) serve as the Executive Director that’s required by U.S. law and who will make sure Good News Ministries outlasts me.

Grooming my replacement is a long process. There’s so much to learn about running this ministry, getting it funded, staffing it, and maintaining and adding to our many online resources. And we cannot even start the discussion until the Lord reveals this trainee and provides sufficient funds to hire him or her.

So, I just keep trusting God.

Fulfilling our calling in 2024 and preparing for the years ahead will take a miracle, just like we’ve experienced every year since our founding in 1995. Perseverance, focus, and hard work is not enough. We will need divine intervention again. The old year is ending with a huge shortfall in the funding support we usually have by now. But the Lord will prevail! When I peer into the new year, I see the Holy Spirit changing many hearts for Christ through Good News Ministries.

If Jesus is calling you to be part of this miracle, please go to gnm.org/donate. (All donations are fully tax deductible for U.S. residents.)

Thank you!

I’d like to emphatically thank everyone who has championed the mission of Good News Ministries. I deeply appreciate each and every GNM member who has become my partner in the mission. Thank you for an amazing 2023 and for your ongoing support.

Prayers for Your Lost Loved Ones (archived podcast)

In Matthew 18:12-14, Jesus says that your Father in heaven is not willing that any of your lost loved ones should perish. Your prayers will be answered! In this episode, I provide hope and reassurance that your prayers for them do make a difference.
