May 5 – Saint Angelus of Jerusalem

Saint-Angelus-of-Jerusalem.jpg

listenOur Father in Heaven, Saint Angelus of Jerusalem (1185-1220) was born to Jewish converts and learned to respect Jews as well as to help them accept Jesus as the Messiah.  After assisting in the formation of the first Carmelite house, he was sent to Italy where he converted many Sicilian Jews.  I ask him to pray for my Jewish friends, neighbors, and co-workers.  If I can be a witness that brings them to faith in Jesus, use me, O Lord.  Teach me how to share the truth with them without condemning their non-Christian beliefs.  Help us to become united in our common worship of You, Our Father.  Saint Angelus of Jerusalem, pray for us.  Amen.
