November 27 – Saint James Intercisus

Saint James Intercisus

listenHeavenly King, Saint James Intercisus (d.420) did not have the courage to profess the Faith during the persecutions because he was afraid of losing the pagan king’s friendship.  His wife and mother, however, challenged him to put God above all his fears, and warned him that his sin could lead him to Hell.  He repented, and gladly accepted torture and death because of his new love for You.  I ask him to pray for me when I make decisions based on fear.  Help me, dear God, to listen to my loved ones when they seek to turn me back to You.  Renew my mind and give me the courage to love You more than my earthly life.  Saint James Intercisus, pray for me.  Amen.
