August 16 – Saint Stephen of Hungary

Saint Stephen of Hungary

listenO My Jesus, Saint Stephen of Hungary was crowned by the pope as “the apostolic King of Hungary” because he worked hard to advance Your kingdom in his country.  He attributed his success as a righteous king and effective evangelist to the Blessed Mother, into whose protection he had entrusted his empire.  I ask him to place under her care my family and my home for safekeeping.  When any of us are in danger, may she come to our aid with a legion of holy angels.  Dear God, deliver us from abuse and family divisions.  Bless each resident and visitor in our homes and purify our relations with each other.  Saint Stephen, pray for us.  Amen.
