February 7 – Blessed Giles Mary-of-Saint-Joseph

Blessed-Giles-Mary-of-Saint-Joseph.jpg

O Generous God, Blessed Giles Mary-of-Saint-Joseph (1729-1812) served as a lowly porter in a monastery.  He accepted his work with humility out of devotion to You.  When assigned the responsibility of distributing food and alms to the poor, he gave generously yet never ran out, thanks to the aid of Saint Joseph.  Blessed Giles, pray with Saint Joseph for my own desire to be a giver.  I submit to God my finances; may I tithe what I receive and give offerings even greater than this, yet never run out.  I also submit my time; may I serve others and still have enough time for my own needs and that of my family.  Blessed Giles Mary-of-Saint-Joseph, pray for me.  Amen.
