May 29 – Saint Maximinius

Saint-Maximinius.jpg

listenBeloved Jesus, while Saint Maximinius (d.c.346) was a bishop, he took a stand against those who persecuted the Church.  He also protected other courageous bishops when they lost favor with those in political power.  I ask Saint Maximinius to intercede for me when I am too concerned about being “politically correct” in the opinions I express or the choices of words that I use.  Help me to not be worried about what kind of an impression I make politically or socially.  Teach me, Dear Lord, to put biblical truths ahead of societal fads, and to prefer Your thoughts over what others think.  Saint Maximinius, pray for me.  Amen.
