Update from Terry

St Augustine FL crossYou probably know that GNM co-founder, my husband of 48 years — Ralph — passed away unexpectedly on February 5th. (He had suffered from ulcerative colitis that medicine failed to stop, resulting in the removal of his colon. We now know that his body had become too weak to handle the surgery, although he tried valiantly for three weeks to get stronger in a nursing home. Jesus took him to a much better place where his healing was completed.)

Since then, I’ve been in emotional recovery mode. Per doctor’s orders, I’m getting a lot of rest. I feel overwhelmed by all the things Ralph used to do that now I have to take over, so I’m living one day at a time, trusting the Holy Spirit to make sure I don’t miss deadlines.

My long-time friend Nancy flew into town immediately after Ralph passed. She stayed five weeks — a true Godsend. Now I’m adjusting to being alone, and it’s the hardest thing I’ve ever done. Ralph and I were high school sweethearts. My grief is beyond words. I know that God has a future planned for me that will cause me and others to rejoice — a plan that would not have happened if Ralph were still with me — but so far I have no idea what that special future might be.

Thank you for your prayer support.

Stations of the Cross (by Good News Ministries Artists)

See and meditate on Christ’s love for you. This version of the Stations of the Cross connects our own lives to the sacrifice Jesus made for us. The video contains works of art created by people around the world. Each one is a different style to represent the globalness and diversity of the Church while honoring Christ through the talents of God’s people.

The prayers can be found at gnm.org/prayers/stations-of-the-cross. Or go straight to the video on our YouTube channel at youtube.com/watch?v=drZah9k9Hgw.

My Lord Jesus Christ: You suffered a great deal for me. I cannot even fathom just how much You accomplished for me through Your sacrifice. What I do know for certain is that I am suffering. I have trials I want to get rid of. But You have shown by your journey to the Cross and your death that I should embrace my sufferings as a journey that will lead to glory. Please help me unite my sufferings with Your Way of the Cross, so that I may be healed, purified and strengthened, and so that I may become Your instrument of healing love for others….

The Way of the Cross

Pray our Stations of the Cross to find relief for your own sufferings. Embrace your trials as union with Jesus on the journey to glory. Our sufferings have eternal value if we unite them to the Passion of Christ. Enter into an interactive prayer experience at gnm.org/prayers/way-of-the-cross.

FORGIVEN: A Meditation on the Passion of Christ Through the Eyes of Peter and Judas

Written with a powerfully life-changing twist, this is not the usual Passion story. “Forgiven” shows the passion of Christ as seen through the eyes of Peter and Judas. Each react in different ways to the final days and crucifixion of Jesus. One chooses forgiveness and the other ends his life in terrible guilt.
