February 12 – Saint Julian

Saint-Julian.jpg

Beloved Lord, Saint Julian (4th century) spent his life caring for the poor as a sacrifice for inadvertently killing his parents.  He is the patron saint of circus workers, innkeepers, travelers, and murderers.  I ask him to pray for all those in the entertainment industry so that they grow in a desire to use their talents to renew life rather than destroy it.  I ask him to intercede for the safety of travelers and for the needs of those who provide services to tourists.  And I ask him to pray for the families who need healing from the tragedies of murder and abuse.  Holy Spirit, teach us to protect and respect all life.  Saint Julian, pray for us.  Amen.

Feast day February 12

quoteO Lord, behold and visit this vine which Thy right hand hath planted. Strengthen the weak, relieve the contrite, confirm the strong. Build them up in love, cleanse them with purity, enlighten them with wisdom, keep them with mercy.”
