September 29 – Archangels Michael, Gabriel & Raphael

Saints Michael, Gabriel, and Raphael

listenHeavenly King, You have given us archangels Saints Michael and Gabriel and Raphael to assist us during our pilgrimage on earth.  Saint Michael is our protector; I ask him to come to my aid, fight for all my loved ones, and protect us from danger.  Saint Gabriel is a messenger of the Good News; I ask him to help me clearly hear Your voice and to teach me the truth.  Saint Raphael is the healing angel; I ask him to take my need for healing and that of everyone I know, lift it up to Your throne of grace and deliver back to us the gift of recovery.  Help us, O Lord, to realize more fully the reality of the archangels and their desire to serve us.  Holy angels, pray for us.  Amen.

Quotes for Today

Venerable Fulton Sheen (1895-1979)

quoteThere are angels near you to guide you and protect you, if you would but invoke them. It is not later than we think, it is a bigger world than we think.”

Blessed Luigi Monza (1898-1954)
Feast day September 29

quoteChristians, each one of you must become an artist of souls, and we must paint the beauty of Jesus not on canvas but in souls. And may the paintbrush of the apostolate never fall from our hands.”

Blessed Richard Rolle (1300-1349)
Feast day September 29

quoteThe Trinity God truly is to be loved for Himself only. Put we therefore our mind fully into it, and be we busy to bear all our thoughts unto that end, that without end we may be gladdened by it, so that ourselves and all things that we love, we love for that alone.”
