I will be for her an encircling wall of fire, says the LORD, and I will be the glory in her midst. (From Saturday’s first reading)

Reflection for Saturday:
Is the glory of the Lord rising?

I’ve been thinking a lot about God’s glory. For the past several months, I’ve been listening to podcasts and reading articles about God’s glory. And I’ve been praying for an increase of God’s glory in my day, my prayer requests, and my work in the mission of Christ. It’s like the Lord is getting his people ready to experience his glory like never before. This theme keeps coming to my attention — now almost every day.

This is why a few weeks ago I produced a podcast called “Pray for the Glory of God to fill you“. (Listen to the audio @ gnm.org/footsteps89. Or watch the video @ gnm-media.org/pray-for-the-glory-of-god-to-fill-you.)

God’s glory is so much more than what I described there, though. What is the glory of God — to you? Please share it in the comments on either one of those links. Do you believe we’re coming into a time when God’s glory is going to cover the earth in remarkable ways? Please share that in the comments. Do you pray for the glory of God to increase in your life? Please share your prayer. Have you had supernatural experiences with his glory? Please share your story.

Inside the Ministry: Coming this October

praying the rosaryDuring the month of the Holy Rosary, Good News Ministries will provide a course for experiencing the Rosary as your own personal mystical union with Christ.

Arise! Come and find rest and restoration with the One who calls you His beloved. What has wearied you? What are your troubles? Arise! Come and experience the joy of deeper union with Christ your Healer!

Using the Mysteries of the Rosary, we will rise to new heights of faith, hope and love. Your healing will come as you listen to these presentations.

It will be hosted by the SmartCatholics free online Academy. Watch for further announcements.

This week’s recommended faith-builder:
Why me, Lord?

Have you ever lamented, “Why me, Lord?” Sure, we all have. “I’m suffering; why me, Lord?” Or the contrasting, “I survived the accident that caused others to suffer; why me, Lord?”

Well, have you ever said, “Why not me, Lord?”

To find out where the “why me” questions come from, visit wordbytes.org/suffering/why-me-lord/.
