September 7 – Saint Cloud

Blessed Savior, Saint Cloud (522-c.560) was a prince on the road to becoming a king until a jealous uncle murdered his brothers and came after him.  He escaped and gave up his dream of ruling a kingdom to become a monk.  In his new life, he instructed people in the ways of faith and so made a difference for the heavenly kingdom.  I ask him to pray for all those I know who have been displaced from their careers—those who have been laid off or fired, who are in jobs they don’t like, or who have been unable to get the jobs they want.  O God, help them to find the path onto which You are trying to redirect them.  Saint Cloud, pray for us.  Amen.
