Praying Fearlessly
During the height of the COVID-19 pandemic, the Lord put it on my heart to develop a prayer to dispel the fear, worry, and anxiety that were prevalent in our society at that time. Through the inspiration of the Holy Spirit, I began to write a new scriptural rosary, using scripture passages that exhorted “be not afraid” and “fear not. I entitled it the Fearless Rosary.
Outside of making the devotional available on my website, I did little to share it with others or promote it. Then, shortly after I began working for GNM this summer, I had a brainstorming session with Terry Modica (Executive Director Emeritus). I mentioned that I had worked on this devotional, and perhaps we could release it through Good News Ministries this October, the month of the Rosary. We could not have anticipated how the summer would conclude with several shootings, including at Annunciation Catholic School in St. Paul, Minnesota, and more recently, the Assassination of Charlie Kirk, founder of Turning Point USA.
These recent events are targeted attacks meant to discourage, dissuade, divide, and terrify the Body of Christ. However, we must not cower in fear but rather respond with Love, continue to live the Gospel, and not allow fear to paralyze us. As we celebrate the month of the Rosary this October, I was inspired by the Holy Spirit to revisit and revise The Fearless Rosary.
It is my hope and prayer that The Fearless Rosary: A Chaplet for Spiritual Boldness will help you pray fearlessly, live your faith with great zeal, and defeat evil by witnessing to the Love of Christ within your heart.
