God Holds it All Together

I mentioned in last week’s newsletter that we are very busy at Good News Ministries, and this week we are still just as busy – if not even a little busier, but in it all God is providing exactly what we need, not a moment too soon or too late. He is holding all the many moving pieces together and our busy schedules. We are so very blessed!

In relying on God’s miraculous provision these past few weeks, I am reminded of the time I climbed Cross Mountain in Medjugorje several years ago. On the pilgrimage, I was very worried about being able to climb the mountain because I have physical limitations, and I was worried about falling, as the mountain has no pathways – it is just jagged rock all the way up and down. Despite my apprehension, I felt that the Lord desired to climb to the top and pray the Stations of the Cross along the way, so I made my way up. 

I was flabbergasted by how easy it was to climb the mountain. I wasn’t out of breath at all – I’ve had three open heart surgeries and a stroke as an infant, and I made it up to the summit with no issue. What is more incredible is that on the way down the mountain, when I would begin to lose my balance, there was always something or someone that  I could hold on to. Without a doubt, it was God’s grace.

This experience has led me to recognize God as a provider more in my life. If we take the steps, He will provide the rocks for us to lean and rest upon. So, when life gets chaotic and we’ve got so much going on, if we take the next uneasy step He will provide something to steady us. This week, I encourage you to examine the areas of your spiritual life that feel unsteady and make you anxious, then take the next step by paying attention to the resources and people God places in your path to firm your footing. 

It is my prayer that, through this, you recognize and thank Him for His provision.
