Until The Wind Changes
One of my favorite moments from the movie Mary Poppins is when Jane and Michael Banks ask how long she will stay with them; her reply is “until the wind changes.” Meaning she will stay until it is clear that their situation has improved and her work is complete. It also implies that she is attentive and listening to the wind.
Most importantly, she delivers on her promise and helps improve their lives by instructing, nurturing, and watching over them. Then, when the wind helps their kite soar to new heights, she quietly catches the current and sails away.
We can learn a lot from Mary Poppins about evangelization. God calls us to work for his kingdom and intentionally places us in certain circumstances by using the mighty wind of the Holy Spirit. We then are called to instruct, nurture, and watch over those God has entrusted to us until the wind changes.
Being obedient to the Spirit’s promptings also frees us to do only what we are called to do – nothing less or more. By being attentive to His Spirit, we will know and help bring about God’s will.
So this week, I encourage you to be attentive to how the Holy Spirit is moving in your life, and think about where God has placed you. What relationships is He calling you to nurture? Is He calling you to move in a different direction? Embrace your present circumstances and listen intently for His voice.
If you need help listening to the voice of the Holy Spirit and discerning how He is calling you, KnowingGodsWillAndDoingItWell.com has some amazing resources and podcasts to help you.

News from the Founder
For four weeks in July, I taught a course unpacking Pope Leo’s encyclical Magnifica Humanitas for my parish. We had a great turnout and engaging discussions.
Several of my friends at church told me they wished they could have attended but couldn’t. I realized that I should put the course on video.
And then — bam! — as soon as I started advertising it, the Lord turned my little idea into a Summit on Magnifica Humanitas and AI. It is so much fun when God takes the lead and makes everything fall into place. Before long we had three more Catholic speakers for the summit. I’m so excited about what God has done!
But that’s not all. By listening to the feedback in my parish group, another idea popped up. Since the world of AI is constantly changing, we wanted a way to continue the discussions after the course ended. So the Holy Spirit inspired me to start a WhatsApp group, called the Catholic Forum on AI, and it’s open to you too. I’m sure you know others who would be interested.
Like I said, it’s fun when God takes the lead. Everything moves forward with its own energy. I’m just along for the ride.

We’ve Got a New Video for You!
When God Calls, Obstacles Don’t Have the Final Word
Do obstacles make you wonder if God is advising you to quit the path you’re trying to take? Think again! They are often opportunities to witness God’s guidance.
God’s will is best discerned through humble trust, wise accompaniment, and perseverance through obstacles, not by relying on our emotions or trying to figure everything out alone, as Deacon Harbey Santiago points out in this episode.
