When you support Good News Ministries,
who will benefit?

Good News Ministries touches countless lives around the world, including in countries where people have no Catholic Mass and where Christians are persecuted if they come out of hiding.

Some people wonder why we should ask for donations.

Support - Why - Terry Modica teaches Good NewsIf I preach the gospel,
this is no reason for me to boast,
for an obligation has been imposed on me,
and woe to me if I do not preach it!

If I do so willingly, I have a recompense,
but if unwillingly, then I have been
entrusted with a stewardship.

What then is my recompense?
That, when I preach,
I offer the gospel free of charge.
(1 Cor 9:16-18)

This scripture explains why we would rather rely on the support of benefactors instead of charging a fee for the Good News Reflections or any of the other services offered by Good News Ministries. Most of the people we serve — people whose lives are changed by what we provide — send us no support. This is why you are very appreciated. You are reading this because you care.

Saint Paul was not saying it’s wrong to charge a fee. In fact, Jesus said that the worker deserves his wages (Luke 10:7). It takes a staff of five to keep everything running and to continue expanding our outreach. To succeed, we must have equipment that works well, an office to work in, a very large server for our websites, health insurance, etc. With your support, you become God’s encouragement for us to keep doing what he calls us to do.

Ready to donate? (Thank you!)

For large donations, you may ask us how to wire the money.

Together we can change the world for Christ
