Expecting miracles in 2025
The new year is here. And things are changing.
One thing that we cannot overlook or ignore is how much more people today need to discover the love and healing and truth about Our Lord. Know anyone like that?
Although the world has become more violent, more rebellious, and more unChristian, we always have Jesus, the solution to every problem, the victory for every evil.
What we don’t have is endless time and boundless energy. I’m soon going to be 70. I have books to write and podcasts to record, but I haven’t had much time for these since my dear Ralph passed and I had to start doing a lot that he used to do. Between aging and mourning, caregiving my mother alone and overseeing a lot of post-hurricane repairs on my house, my energy wanes by 4:30. For years I had worked until 7:00pm in this ministry.
Thankfully — by the gracious plan of God — I have a wonderful Assistant Director, Graciela, who still works full-time and does an amazing job. Our wonderful part-timers, Kathy and Lily, have also been helping to keep the wheels of this ministry turning.
But getting older and living without Ralph has made it very clear that I need to do succession planning. I need to hire a U.S.-based Assistant Administrator who can eventually take over as CEO when my time comes to join Ralph — an assistant who takes on more and more of my admin duties so that I become free to focus on writing books and recording podcasts, an assistant who also is an expert in podcasting and video media so that he produces what I record. In 2024, after much prayer and discernment by the Board of Directors, Bill Snyder became that assistant.
There’s much to do in running this ministry, especially as we aim for continued growth. However, if we can’t reach — right now — our goal of $55,000 to cover the first half of 2025, we cannot hire Bill for the hours I need him.
So, we all have to keep trusting God: The team and I have to keep trusting God to keep this ministry moving forward, and you need to trust God to be generous with you after you have given generously to Good News Ministries.
Fulfilling GNM’s calling in 2025 and preparing for the years ahead will take a financial miracle, just like every year in the past since our founding in 1995. Perseverance, focus, and hard work is not enough. We will need divine intervention again. The new year has begun with a huge shortfall in funding. But the Lord will prevail! When I peer into the new year, I see the Holy Spirit changing many hearts for Christ through Good News Ministries.
