Developments and Plans
Despite the exhausting personal challenges I dealt with, which sadly culminated in February, there have been exciting and significant developments in Good News Ministries. And plans are under way for even more!
Early this year we began to provide a clickable Calendar of Reflections to help you easily locate past and current posts of the Good News Reflections.
Currently I’m building Catholic Digital Resources where church bulletin editors and study groups can obtain a lifetime membership to log in and access upcoming editions of the Good News Reflections. This is available now. Coming soon is a collection of ebooks that can be downloaded as PDFs.
My paperback book on Pope Saint John Paul II’s encyclical on the Eucharist, My Soul Shall Be Healed, was republished as a write-in workbook.
Then my book The Father’s Heart: Meet the Real Abba Father (10 Spiritual Exercises to Heal from the Wounds of the Heart) was published, also in a workbook format. I was very excited about EWTN star Bear Wozniak writing the foreword!
Next I’m planning to record each chapter and make them available to you for free as a downloadable audiobook.
On our YouTube channel, in June, we began to provide the Daily Prayer and Reflection — powerful morning prayers with the Good News Reflection to start your day in the best possible way.
And in July, we started making video “shorts” — key points, in one minute or less, clipped from full-length videos. Google favors these and pushes them up front where people see suggested shorts based on their viewing history. It’s an opportunity for us to reach more people and ultimately bring them to GNM’s website. Hundreds of people watch our shorts! Give yourself a quick faith-boost: Find a topic that interests you and save the clip for replaying as often as you need to hear it.
All of this is made possible by champions of the Good News, people who give a sacrifice of donations. Unfortunately, my mid-year plea for a boost in funding has not yielded much. In my request for more people to begin monthly gift-giving, only eight responded. But one thing I’ve learned over the years is that we can trust God. Our motto is: “Jesus leads, Grace provides.” As long as we do the work that Holy Spirit inspires — i.e., me and my team providing faith-builders and donors generously providing funds — we can’t go wrong.
