April 4 – Saint Isidore of Seville

Saint-Isidore-of-Seville

listenHoly Spirit of God, Saint Isidore of Seville was one of the most learned men of his day and has become the patron saint of computer users and the Internet.  I ask him to assist our modern world through his prayers.  O Lord, bless and sanctify how we in our society handle computers and the Internet.  Send your holy warrior angels to defeat demonic intentions for this technology, and inspire websites and programs that glorify You and that build up rather than destroy people’s minds, hearts and souls.  Help the Church realize its full potential in using this tool as part of His ministry of evangelization.  Saint Isidore of Seville, pray for us.  Amen.

Quotes for Today

Saint Isidore of Seville (c.560-636)

quoteWhen God’s grace touches our innermost minds to bring understanding, His Word which has been received by the ear sinks deep into the heart.”

quoteConfession heals, confession justifies, confession grants pardon of sin. All hope consists in confession. In confession there is a chance for mercy. Believe it firmly. Do not doubt, do not hesitate, never despair of the mercy of God. Hope and have confidence in confession.”
