Holy Jesus, Saint Lawrence O’Toole was an archbishop who spent many years working hard for the Church. On his deathbed, someone asked him if he wanted to make a will. He grinned saying, “God knows I don’t have a penny in the world.” He had already given away everything he owned to help others. I ask him to pray for my decisions about what to do with the money and material goods I own, including my retirement fund and other investments that I’m using to protect my future. O Lord, sanctify my plans and give me a holy perspective on how much to save and how much to give away. Saint Lawrence, pray for me. Amen.
