Dear God, Saint Macrina (324-379) helped her mother raise nine brothers and sisters. One of her brothers was Saint Basil the Great, and he obtained for his mother and sister a manor in which to live. Because of their spirituality, many women came to live with them to learn how to grow in holiness. I ask Saint Macrina to pray for retreat centers and other buildings that are used for helping people on their spiritual journeys. May the types of programs they provide be always what You inspire, O Lord, and make it possible for everyone to participate whether they can afford the cost or not. Saint Macrina, pray for us. Amen.
