The Impact of Our Staff on Your Faith Life

We have an awesome team of Catholic servants of Christ. Without each and every one of them, Good News Ministries would fail to give you what you come to us seeking and expecting. Imagine where you’d be in your faith life if we weren’t here for you!

So, I’d like to take a moment to put the spotlight on them.

Kathy Taylor (left), our part-time Donor Relations Assistant, has been with me the longest. She began working for Good News Ministries in 2011 when I needed someone to keep records of donations and expenses. She jumped in as our Office Assistant, and soon her work expanded to thank-you letters. Later we contracted an actual bookkeeper (Tina Bubb) and Kathy’s tasks evolved to include other valuable works that matched her talents. Thank you, Kathy!

Graciela Ramos (second from right), started as a volunteer translator in 2013. Her helpfulness went above and beyond expectations. But after only a year of joyfully serving the Lord through GNM, she had to quit because her husband was retiring early and she needed to go find a job. So we hired her! Her responsibilities have gradually expanded and she became our full-time Assistant Director.

Fernando Ramos, her husband, joined the team in 2016 to help produce videos and audio podcasts. They live in Argentina. Thank you, Graciela and Fernando!

Lily Johana Cañón Valverde (middle), has been our Social Media Manager since February of 2021. She and her husband moved to Miami from Columbia in 2015. Someone recommended Good News Ministries to them. They loved what we do so much that they drove more than 5 hours to our office in Tampa just to spend an hour meeting us. They wanted to get involved but they couldn’t speak much English yet. Now Lily is happily doing a great job in getting our various resources out through social media sites. Thanks to her, we’re gaining more new subscribers at a faster rate. Thank you, Lily!

Brent Delperdang (right), is someone I began to contract earlier this year for IT work. He helps with PHP code and re-designed some key web-design plugins. He also helps me maintain GNM’s server. A devoted Catholic, husband and dad, he has seven children. Thank you, Brent, for making my life easier!

Tina Bubb (not pictured), has been our contracted, professional bookkeeper since 2018. Thank you, Tina!

YOU are an important part of the team, too. Please partner with us by keeping us in prayer (sign up @ elists.gogoodnews.net/dada/mail.cgi/list/prayernetwork) and by making a donation @ gnm.org/donate whenever you can. THANK YOU!

Our greatest team members are the few donors who give remarkably generous support and the many donors who make a monthly commitment. Even small donations accumulate into something that makes an impact.

It costs about $12,000 (USD) each month to run GNM, and we typically receive about $7,000 in donations each month. Without some big support today, we could run out of funds in September.

To those who are already monthly supporters, the team and I thank you profusely. To those who are not, I beg you to pray about it. Consider these advantages:

  1. Monthly giving is easier (more convenient) and you won’t need to remember to give your support.
  2. You can know with certainty every month that you’re making a difference.
  3. It tells me that you’re committed to the mission of Good News Ministries.
  4. You can easily adjust your giving if your circumstances change. You’ll have a log-in that gives you complete control.

We need a lot more new monthly supporters who give at least $10/month of support. It’s easy to sign up and easy to stop when you need to. Please go to gnm.org/donate.
