Continue to Unpack Magnifica Humanitas
One thing I’ve learned over the past few weeks is that the encyclical Magnifica Humanitas and how to understand and use artificial intelligence in a responsible way is a very complex and complicated topic, and due to the rapid changing technology one that is constantly evolving.
I was honored to be a part of producing the 2026 Summit on Magnifica Humanitas and Artificial Intelligence which launched on August 14th. These presentations by leading Catholic experts in this important field, are packed with rich content that is hard to find elsewhere. During the production and editing process, I had the benefit of closely watching and learning from these talks. I feel more equipped today as a Catholic to address the concerns and utilize the tool of artificial intelligence.
If you are apprehensive about the rise of artificial intelligence and its implications for our society, I strongly encourage you to watch these presentations and interviews. Digest them slowly, you don’t need to binge watch the entire five and a half hour long YouTube playlist. Post comments, and join our WhatsApp group discussion to ask questions and join like minded Catholics who are interested in shaping the future of AI.
Most importantly, if you find this summit helpful, please share it with others. One of the easiest ways to evangelize (and also train the AI engines to prioritize wholesome and virtuous content) is to share it with your family and friends.
Simply, this encyclical and discussion is too important to ignore. It is my prayer that this week you will begin to watch and engage with these videos.
