The Joy of Love, Chapter 1 Part 3

The Joy of Love - Amoris laetitia

Pope Francis’ Apostolic Exhortation Amoris Laetitia

Three keys to a fuller family life in the Holy Spirit

Radical love — God’s love — empowers us to overcome the trials we face, and it heals our wounds, our broken hearts, and our embattled relationships. But to avail ourselves of this, we have to rely on supernatural help and grace (supernatural love from God when we are not loved enough by others, mercy received and given, Jesus’ patience as our own, etc.). In other words, as Pope Francis says in paragraph 29, families need to “become ever more fully a temple in which the Spirit dwells”.

Reflection Questions:

Name the three keys for becoming “ever more fully a temple in which the Spirit dwells”. How have they helped your marriage or your family? Have they made you aware of the Holy Spirit’s involvement in your life? What should you spend more time engaging in, in order to become more fully connected to the Spirit?

(If you are willing to share this publicly, email me your answer to be posted here as a testimony; it will help others discover God’s radical love. Private comments and questions may also be emailed to me during the weeks that this is a live, interactive course.)
