The Consecration of Your Marriage to Mary

Consecrate Your Marriage to Mary,
Ark of the Covenant

Consecrate your marriage to Mary, Ark of the Covenant

When you consecrate your marriage to the Mary the Mother of Jesus Christ, the adapted Hail Mary prayer below can be a game-changer. All marriages are under attack by the devil because by dividing it can conquer. The devil wants to usurp God the Father by becoming the father of humankind, and so the strategy of demons is to destroy human fatherhood and cause people to distrust the Fatherhood of God.

By attacking marriages, the devil aims to prevent babies from being born. It prevents children from growing up in a healthy home formed by the particular gifts that both father and mother bring to child-rearing. It blocks a holy understanding of love and sacrifice. It pulls Christians away from the Church by promoting divorce and remarriage. And by feeding worldliness into marriages, it blinds the world from seeing God’s love, fidelity and life-long commitment through the example of holy husbands and holy wives.

Therefore, every marriage needs daily prayer. Spouses that pray together form a strong shield against the weapons of the Enemy. With or without this unity, the Blessed Mother is your best ally and your strongest prayer warrior. Demons fear her more than any other human because of her purity and her role in salvation history: She is the new Ark of the Covenant bringing Christ to us. Exorcists report that one glance from Mary can send demons fleeing.

This prayer of consecrating your marriage to Mary is a demon-conquering adaptation of the Hail Mary. Use rosary beads while meditating on the Sorrowful Mysteries because the Blood of Christ brings healing. Or pray it 10 times each morning, naming a different event, problem, or person before each Hail Mary.

Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with you.
Blessed are you among women,
and blessed is the Fruit of your womb, Jesus.
Holy Mary, Mother of God,
Defeater of Satan,
Crushing the head of the serpent beneath your heel,
Ark of the Covenant leading us to victory in battle,
I consecrate to you my marriage and my family.
Stand in front of us to shield us from worldly and demonic interference.
Pour upon us the healing effects of the Precious Blood of your Son Jesus.
Share with us the graces provided by your Spouse the Holy Spirit.
Pray for us sinners now and at the hours of our deaths.
