November 28 – Saint Catherine Labouré
Almighty Father, You gave Saint Catherine Labouré a vision of the Blessed Mother revealing an image that was to be made into the Miraculous Medal. You commissioned her to spread its devotion. It included the prayer: “O Mary, conceived without sin, pray for us who have recourse to thee.” You promised that those who wear it as a sign of devotion will receive the graces needed for holy living. I ask Saint Catherine to pray for the miracles I need. Dear God, bless me abundantly with the grace to resist sin, understand Your will, and obey Your commandments. O Mary and Saint Catherine, pray for me. Amen.
Quotes for Today
Saint Catherine Labouré (1806-1876)
Feast day November 27, for the vision of “Miraculous Medal”
One must see God in everyone.”
If you listen, God will also speak to you. For with the good Lord, you have to both speak and listen. God always speaks to you when you approach him plainly and simply.”
Lord, I am here. Tell me what you would have me do. If He gives me some task I am content and I thank Him. If he gives me nothing, I still thank Him Since I do not deserve to receive anything more than that, and then I tell God everything that is in my heart. I tell him about my pains and my joys, and then I listen.”
