May 6 – Saint Evodius of Antioch

Saint-Evodius-of-Antioch.jpg

listenLord Jesus, Saint Evodius of Antioch was one of the 72 disciples You commissioned — with a share of Your power — to go and make a difference in the world for the Kingdom of God.  After Your ascension, Saint Peter ordained him a priest and then Bishop of Antioch.  He was the first person to use the word “Christian.”  Likewise, You commissioned me on the day of my Baptism, and You empowered me with the gifts I need to fulfill my calling.  I ask Saint Evodius to pray that the ministries in which I’m now involved will lead into new ministries that will be even more productive.  Help me to grow in service.   Saint Evodius of Antioch, pray for me.  Amen.
