Loving Father, Saint Frumentius was called the Apostle of Ethiopia because, as a bishop, he was sent there to spread the Faith. However, he was captured and taken to the king and made a member of his court. He realized that having such access to the king gave him a better opportunity to introduce Christianity into the country. I ask Saint Frumentius to intercede for me whenever my plans go astray, especially when those plans were carefully made. Help me to set aside my own agenda and to welcome the unexpected and recognize what new opportunity God has provided for me. Remind me when I am surprised or frustrated that You, O Lord, are really the one in charge, and I can always trust in Your plans. Saint Frumentius, pray for me. Amen.
