October 26 – Saint Lucian of Antioch
O Victorious Jesus, Saint Lucian of Antioch (c.240-312) was a devil worshiper who converted to Christianity. He is the patron saint of possessed people, so I ask him to intercede for all those who worship Satan and have no one to pray for them. They are surrounded by demonized people—give them Christians who can lead them to healing and salvation. During this month-long preparation for Halloween, which is a high holy day for satanists, I ask Saint Lucian to pray for all those who glamorize the occult, horror, evil and fear. Teach us to restore this time of year to a celebration of the Blessed Mother and the saints. Saint Lucian, pray for us. Amen.
Quotes for Today
Saint Alfred the Great (849-899)
Feast day October 26
We pray to you, O Lord, who are the supreme Truth, and all truth is from You. We beseech You, O Lord, who are the highest Wisdom, and all the wise depend on You for their wisdom. You are the supreme Joy, and all who are happy owe it to You. You are the Light of minds, and all receive their understanding from You. We love You above all. We seek You, we follow You, and we are ready to serve You. We desire to dwell under Your power for You are the King of all. Amen.”
The prayer above is from Terry Modica’s book Daily Prayers with the Saints.
